Ephemeral Creatures of Light

It was a sunny day in Middle Earth. We said, let's do a shoot. Of the hundreds of shots, I discarded all bar these in the natural light of the dying sun.

I always felt inspired by Greek statuary and the art of Renaissance. No one questions the galactic, microcosmic value of that art, yet today art is measured by different standards. the body isn't celebrated anymore; strength, volition, olympian values neither. I want to create art that celebrates all that--but from a female gaze. the female nude to me doesn't speak of vulnerability, but of sheer beauty. Beauty isn't something cheap and shameful--it's glorious. Like a golden sunset. You bow to it respectfully, and admire it in peace.
