Photographing the Faroe Islands with an ancient analog medium format camera is both one of the most rewarding and most educational efforts I could wish for. Learning how to deal with film reciprocity failure while shooting longer exposures, being confined to only one lens and simple shooting far less than you would have done using a DSLR really changed the way I approach my photography. I hope this experience has made me become a better photographer.

Hasselblad 500C + Distagon 50mm, Ilford Delta 100 film, ND grad filter, ND 6 stops filter, tripod, cable release.

Shot on film (Ilford Delta 100) with my Hasselblad 500C and Distagon 50mm lens. I used a bit longer exposure using a 6 stops filter so that the movement in the water is still visible. The negative was developed by a professional lab but after that I digitized it using my DSLR. Further post-processing was done in Lightroom, Photoshop and Silver Efex.
