The sea stacks Risin and Kellingin are quite famous, therefore they have received names. As often in Nordic culture, these objects are part of local folklore and there is usual a heroic story behind it. I don't know this particular story but what I do know is that these stacks are seriously high, although they do not appear like that due to the insane height of the neighboring cliff. This one is incredibly high, making the sea stacks look like tiny needles. How you can be fooled.

View on the famous sea stacks Risin and Kellingin on the island of Eysturoy, one of the Faroe Islands, situated in the Atlantic Ocean.

Hasselblad 500C + Distagon 50mm, Ilford Delta 100 film. Handheld shot. Film was developed by a professional lab. I digitized the negative with my DSLR. Post-processing was done in Lightroom, Photoshop and Silver Efex.

Shot with my Hasselblad 500C and Distagon 50mm lens on Ilford Delta 100 film. I wanted to come closer but the boggy meadow didn't allow me. Also, I wanted some foreground in the image, so I compromised on this composition. Since the hail, storm and rain was pounding away, I did not opt for a long exposure and kept the filters in the bag. A quick handheld shot was all I could get away with here, but I am quite pleased with the result.
