Image description

Photography is "drawing with light". Pure photography means that the light itself creates an abstract image on a light-sensitive medium (film or camera chip) without being affected by a subject from the human world of experience. For this abstract project the camera is attached to an optical bench, and the light path is modified by various means in order to create a non-figurative, abstract light pattern on the camera chip. New addition to my abstract project "Pure Light | Pure Photography".
In nature, light only rarely shows its color components, like in a rainbow. With a few simple tricks, this can also be achieved in the photo studio. This leads into a new image world, in which the camera has lost its traditional documentary function.
Zeiss UEM microscope stand used as an optical bench, Objective: Zeiss Neofluar 16:1, white light, Canon EOS 5DMkII
Raw, PS 2024, Topaz Denoise
