In order to improve the form of a classical drop photograph, additional effects need to be created in drop photography. In another technique related to this additional effect, the main water jet rising during the formation of the drop is exposed to pressurised air on both sides and bent into an "S" shape.

To create this effect, an additional device is created. Firstly, a pressurised air stored in the compressor is needed. This pressurised air is directed from the sides to the drop formation zone by two pipes with an inner diameter of 1-2 mm adjusted according to the height of the drop. The criteria related to air pressure, drop jet length, distance of the pipes to the drop formation point, and air blowing timing are the most important factors of this effect that occurs in milliseconds.

Of course, not only the water jet is bent with compressed air. It is necessary to bend the full drop form, which is formed when another drop or drops are dropped on the rising water jet.
