Nathan Wirth Volker, I shot this right on the shoreline (with some serious fog). The sand was very high up and sloped down to the water. The waves were really strong, the tide high, and the water kept sweeping up the sand and over -- often filling up fairly large pools. I caught this long exposure as the water was retreating. The shots I took right after had much, much more water spilling back (and very little sand). Thanks for your very kind words! PS This is Great Beach at the Point Reyes National Seashore.
