Svend Videbaek Lovely indeed. Really like the muted colours -- reminds me a bit of the colour world in some of Andrew Wyeth's paintings (tempera, beyond melancholic).

Marcus Hewson Superb Work. The Path seems to split at the end. Something to think about. Well done Mark.

Jared Christopher Martin a beautiful image that appears to be a parable - the two vastly different woods, one groomed and orderly perhaps tended by man, the other a forest gone wild and overgrown, left to natures whims, the thin line between them that allows no deviation and carries our eye to a future destination that will leave both wood and forest behind. the winter snow that nourishes new growth beneath its soft coat while concealing the artifacts of dying from a previous season. The image is a riddle, a quiet challenge, I feel a stirring of purpose within, and sit restlessly before it - reminded of the Frost poem about the road not taken. This image will give back something new every time it is regarded.

Alan Gilholm A great work - I agree with both Jared's and Donnie's comments. There is a real sense of confrontation here, with the dark branches on the right like raised fists, with a line of defensive spikes below. The trees on the left seem to draw back slightly. Perhaps appropriate in our election fevered times!?!
