Jos Letschert Alexandru, very strong artwork. I appreciate the powerful way of drawing, the use of colors and the contrast with the background. The form is very expressive and the way of using lines is the prove for the competence of the artist, in this case you. marvelous work Alexandru!

Alexandru Crisan dear Jos, I was hardly wait for your comment... and it came exactly when I predicted! I'm glad you like it! maybe these words will complete the image, something very special, for you:
Eyes that last I saw in tears
Here in death's dream kingdom
The golden vision reappears
I see the eyes but not the tears
This is my affliction
This is my affliction
Eyes I shall not see again
Eyes of decision
Eyes I shall not see unless
At the door of death's other kingdom
Where, as in this,
The eyes outlast a little while
A little while outlast the tears
And hold us in derision.
(Thomas Stearns Eliot)

Jos Letschert Dear Alexandru, thank you so much for your additional comment on your contribution, the beautiful poem of T.S. Eliot. I feel very honored that you have added it specially for me. Eliot's words indeed describe what you could see and feel looking at your artwork and it corresponds perfectly to your title and 'Sorrow' work.
Your work is very varied and because of that very attractive to look at. Your dream series - the dancers - remind me e.g. to the world of Diaghilev and especially to his star dancer Nijinski. As you probably know John Neumeier (Hamburg) designed an homage to Vaslav Nijinski by a great ballet. Beate and I have seen it several times, each time totally engaged. As a painter I am very fond of your 'Eyes' work, as you can imagine. It is the way of painting I really appreciate. Strong, powerful, tender at the same time, and poetic. Alexandru, you've made me a pleasure. Thanks!

Alexandru Crisan always a great pleasure to read your thoughts dear Jos Letschert... because they have something totally different from all other comments i heard here, on AL (and you know it very well) so don't be surprise and please continue to surprised me, especially with your ballet references because i found somehow things i thought about...as you also already guessed from some time! regards

Jos Letschert Thanks a lot Alexandru. I am pleased that you find some pleasure to my comments. I really like the dialogue on platforms like this. It opens the eyes for unseen elements, for maybe still hidden perspectives.

Alexandru Crisan Unfortunately, most of the comments are "short" in essence and consistence... if you know what I mean, dear Josh Letchert! but will come a time, unfortunately again, when nobody is going to see the wonderful comments and the fantastic replies! until that moment I will continue to comment on images even I like them or not, and, of course, rate with what I truly believe it deserves... some will be, as you know, extremely affected... :)))))
