Srikaton Mindarwanto The master of enigma! Brillant concept, depth and mystical!

Jos Letschert Roberto, you've captured the transparent light of the heavenly throne in your 'Pietra'. A kind of detached image, a transition from physicality into the conceptual, the mindfulness. The figure dissolves, or is decomposed, bridging two worlds. Besides that it is just a wonderful composition of great aesthetic quality. I like it very much, the tones, the composition, the value of black and whites!

Roberto De Mitri Jos... :) ... thank you very much for the accuracy of the comment, very detailed and of great relevance... :) ... I don't have a clear reading of this image. Perhaps, a portrait that really resembles a precious stone. A stone that can be crossed by light, but, at the same time, captures and doesn't allow our thoughts to escape, so they remain absorbed in it.
And, like all precious stones, it has its meaning and its arcane mysteries...
I don't know...
and thank you, again, for the beautiful comment... :)

M W Sometimes we think we know someone, know others, closer ones or these further ones. But no, we don't. No one is clear enough to "review" him/her through. Not only because someone hides something. Sometimes cause there is lots of hypocrisy all around. Or duplicity like shown here. Falsity. Very good work!

Jos Letschert Roberto, one of my favorite Dutch poets, M. Vasalis, a lady who lived from 1909 till 1998, wrote a beautiful poem that came into my mind, thinking again about your 'Pietra di luce'. It starts with: I dreamed that I lived very slowly, more slowly as the oldest stone... It is a pity that it is only in Dutch, but I try to post a - not-authorized translation - to give you any idea about the content. Hope AL allows the size. It is just an association to your beautiful photo.

Jos Letschert I dreamed that I lived very slowly...
slower than the oldest stone.
It was terrible: around me
everything growed up, shaked
or trembled, what looked calm.
I saw the pressure with which
trees wrenched out of earth,
while they were singing raucously
and hacking; while seasons flew,
discoloured as rainbows...
I saw the tremor of the sea, its
swelling and ist hastly sinking,
as only a big throat can drink.
Day and night, of short duration
flaming and extinguish: flaky fire.
- the despair and the eloquency
in the gestures of the things,
normally fossiled, and their pushing,
their breathless, cruel struggle...
How could it be that I haven't know
that before, haven't seen it in an
earlier time? How can I ever
forget that again

Edna Dott I see her as unreachable, unattainable, in a world between reality and dreams, heaven and earth. Her features vanishing, or perhaps not as relevant as the feelings she has ignited, if only from afar.. Beautiful, strong, fragile and fading away..

Roberto De Mitri Thierry ... :) ... I think, this time, they are less gloomy emotions... :) ... and thank you very much for the kind comment!

Roberto De Mitri Claudio...

Roberto De Mitri yes, Maria... :) ... you are right. indeed, this theme comes back often in my photos. It is often present. We illude ourselves to know someone really. To know not only what this person reveals on the surface. Or in his/her everyday life. But we think and illude ourselves, thinking of knowing this person even in the deep. So it is not. Regardless of hypocrisy or not, what we know is just what we think we know. The real inner and deep nature of the human soul, on the other hand, it remains unattainable for us.
and thank you very much for the beautiful comment... :)

Roberto De Mitri Jos... :) ... Thank you so much for having embellished my picture with this beautiful poem, which I have read carefully and in it I find much of the spirit of this image. It would be a great title, perhaps a little long.
You put the poetry. I put the origin of the title. Which was inspired by me by the model (ciao Chiara... :P ), to which I asked for a title for this portrait. She suggested a stone, hyaline quartz. Stone that in Asia is traditionally defined as "A stone of light detached from the heavenly throne"... Definition that I find enchanting ... :)

Roberto De Mitri Edna... :) ... Your thoughts and words are so relevant to this portrait that I can use them in my personal comment. Changing only a few words.
I see her as unreachable, unattainable, in a world between reality and dreams, heaven and hell. desire and reality. will and possibility. passion and damnation. Her features vanishing, or perhaps not as relevant as the feelings she has ignited, if only from afar.. disant in time and from the heart. Beautiful, strong, fragile and fading away... forever lost.
this is my curse.
and, Edna... :) .. thank you very much for the lovely comment! :)

Dana Winkelman Roberto. I have been looking and thinking about this photo for a few days now. I like the notion of a "stone of light". It is a contradictory phrase or maybe a paradox and that is how I see the image, a paradox. The figure itself seems fleeting, as if it could change in an instant. The light could change. She could open her eyes, smile... anything and the effect would be completely different. I suppose this is the notion of the "decisive moment". However, the emotional impact is solid, like stone. I see the emotion a bit differently from you and other folks. I see her as attainable/understandable (detached from the heavenly throne). She has closed her eyes and is waiting for that gentle kiss or touch. Waiting for someone bold enough to give her an earthly throne. Finally, the photograph itself is beautiful. All the best. Dana...

Roberto De Mitri well, Dana... :) ... The title is taken from a definition that traditionally refers to the ialine quartz in Asia. And I must say that it is very beautiful. More than a paradox, I find it a transcendental experience. But it can become a paradoxical experience, as it transcends the experience of sensible and rational. In this we can find a point of convergence, between paradox and transcendence. :)
The face seems embedded in a stone. To be a reflection of crystal itself. And as a reflection, as you say, it can change. Be "changeable". Suspended here in what you call a "decisive moment". The interpretation you give of the portrait is very suggestive and well blends with the image itself.
But, personally, I do not know how to interpret this photo. What is the future or destiny that accompanies the lady in the stone. Waiting for someone who may possibly reach her in this stone. Or who can free her from this spell. Let's see what happens ...
and thank you very much for the wonderful comment... :)
