Roberto De Mitri Edna... :) ... A Juliet, an Ophelia ... maybe a Medea ... she can be all the women in the world. And can be all the lives and stories of this world.
It all depends on our eyes. Read, perhaps, a spirit of tragedy. Or read a moment of serenity.
and thank you very much for the lovely comment! :)

23 Apr 2017 at 11:24pm
Roberto De Mitri Roland... :) ... hurts... I don't know... Here it really depends on how one reads the image. Whether it is dramatic or serene. It all depends on our sensitivity and how we read it.
and thank you very much for the kind comment!
23 Apr 2017 at 11:26pm

Katerina Apostolakou I love your works! Always something romantic and poetic! So much emotions!
24 Apr 2017 at 09:24am
Thierry Lair Roberto many things already said, I like the grain of the image and the serenity that it emerges. Excellent.

Roberto De Mitri Jos... :) ... A deep sleep is a dreamless sleep. A deep dream maybe is a serene dream. but is anyway like living in a deception. I think...
thank you very much for the kind comment! :)
24 Apr 2017 at 10:47am
Jos Letschert Roberto, deception, I don't agree. Dreams are a special kind of reality. Their source is reality, their existence is reality, their appearance however is not bound by prescribed sequences, awaken logics or seemingly rationality.

Roberto De Mitri Pierre ... :) ... thank you for the kindness ... I'm not an artist. It is not something that interests me, to be something. I like the photos. And I give them my love. These are the things that matter to me. And I'm happy that you like this photo! :)

Roberto De Mitri Ms. Regina... :) ... thank you for the kind comment! :) ... Danke für den freundlichen kommentar!

Roberto De Mitri Mr. Richter... :) ... Darkness as black absorbs, does not reject.
Is the “color” of the mystery, because we don't know what colors it hid.
We don't know what emotions and thoughts reside in it.
Dark is the black light. The light that contains the darkness.
It contains itself. Beginning and End they holding hands.

Roberto De Mitri Katerina ... :) ... your words of esteem and appreciation make me very happy! ... thank you very much! I'm very happy that you like my works and this photo... :)
24 Apr 2017 at 04:47pm
Roberto De Mitri Thierry... :) ... indeed, too many words, but the important thing is the photo! and yes, I like how the grain works in this photo... it gives a lot of depth and feeling to the picture.
and thank you very much for the kind comment! :)

Roberto De Mitri and thank you very much to you too, Romain! I'm glad you like! :)
24 Apr 2017 at 05:47pm
Roberto De Mitri well Jos... :) ... I understand and appreciate what you mean and your reasoning. And I might also be in agreement with you when you say that “dreams are a special kind of reality” and “Their source is reality”. I think the same. The question is that I pose the deception at the basis of reality itself, so we can say reality is a deception assumed as conventional cognitive element. A fiction in form.
Dream is a deception in substance. Or better, not having substance, better to say in essence. An illusion that we do to ourselves.
I have to admit that yours is a much more positive and kind vision of mine. my vision of the "world" is very gloomy.
24 Apr 2017 at 06:13pm
Jos Letschert Roberto, thanks for your detailled comment. I do understand what you mean. I also agree with your reasoning.I have to commit that I always become a bit oppositional by your indeed sometimes 'gloomy Weltanschauung'. I am an optimist by nature and I see e.g. the not substantial essence of a dream earlier as a positive quality, in stead of a deception in substance. Besides that I think that your photos on their own have an exceptional aesthetic quality and value and that is my first and mean entrance to your beautiful work.

Roberto De Mitri Jos... :) ... Again, I thank you for the contribution you give to my photos, for your intelligence in comments and readings... :) ... I always emphasize that, even when we discuss about a photo or work, my predisposition is that of two friends sitting at the bar who are discussing in front of two beers. In a friendly way and intelligence, exchanging views and opinions. As we have always done (except for beers... :D ) ... so, thank you again for the kindness, for your contribution and for your lovable comments... :)
24 Apr 2017 at 11:55pm
Roberto De Mitri Alessandro... :) ... :)
" l'abbandono assoluto nelle mani del nostro Dio dei Sogni..." mi piace molto come definizione... :) ... un abbandono all'ineluttabile, forse...
e grazie mille per il bel commento! Ciao! :)

Jos Letschert Like the idea of the beers, Roberto, even if they are only virtual.

Dana Winkelman Roberto. Late to the party as usual but I am here ;-). I see the pose as tense and full of anxiety. I think mostly due to the hands, which seem to be pulling at the fabric and the face is away from the viewer. However, the tone and light are very soothing. I think that contrast between the pose and the tone is striking. I think maybe morfeo is unwelcome here or has brought something unwelcome. All the best. Dana...

Roberto De Mitri Dana... :) ... The party is in the middle of the evening. We are still far from the conclusion... :)
I think your words describe this picture very well.
There is a "latent" contrast between the body tension and the softness of light and shadows. This may create a certain sense of disorientation in the viewer. And it leads us not to see this picture as an image that fully transmits peace and serenity. Or an image that fully transmits anxiety.
"I think maybe morfeo is unwelcome here or has brought something unwelcome" ... yes, you are right... You never know what Morfeo brings to you. Sleep, or dream, here can be a peaceful island, or an unhappy return to memories of the past. perhaps.
and thank you very much for the comment, very relevant and for the very careful reading... :) ... always very kind!

Toni Traglia Riposo o abbandono?
5 May 2017 at 12:25am
Roberto De Mitri Toni... :)
