Edna Dott Such quality of work.. Faceless she, but so much can be told and felt by her stance and hands.

Patrick Vitali Bella ! Stara apettando il ritorno di qualcuno o di essere chiamata...le mani riflettano una certa angoscia, no ?

Michele Rieri Interessante la scelta di lasciare la figura fuori fuoco. Aggiunge mistero alla scena. Bravo

Roberto De Mitri and, as always, very kind, Mr. Hwang... :) ... thank you very much! :)

Roberto De Mitri Edna... :) ... indeed, the title is a bit an implicit reference to many emotions and sensations that can be perceived from this picture... a sort of antechamber. iconic limbo... a threshold where the wait is infinite. even if we keep in our hearts the hope for something we have lost, perhaps, we are confined within this limbo of useless hope...
and thank you very much for the beautiful comment... :)

Roberto De Mitri Francesco... :) ... mistica e iconica nella sua capacità di comunicare questo assoluto senso di "void" ... :) ... e grazie per il gentile commento!
2 Apr 2017 at 11:46pm
Roberto De Mitri Claudio... :) ... un attendere infinito è un attendere tendenzialmente vano... oserei dire... purtroppo...
2 Apr 2017 at 11:47pm

Beate Letschert Very impressive, Roberto! Lonely - perhaps even lost -, but sheltered by the structured surrounding. Great!

Roberto De Mitri well Katerina... :) ... I try to do well. it is not always possible. and sometimes I can't always do well. but I think, in this case, the picture is quite suggestive and the work is well done, yes... and I'm glad you like! :)

Roberto De Mitri Ms. Beate... :) ... I do not think she's lost. because I see this hall as a kind of Limbo. and inside the Limbo you're never lost. Simply, you're in it. there is not time that flows and there is no way to go. is the twilight threshold. eternally suspended in a stasis dimension.
Lonely, yes... the hope dissipates in this eternal wait. and, in this void, we are doomed to the utter loneliness.

Jos Letschert Waiting for heaven Roberto. There are several entrances for your not fallen, nevertheless not yet flying angel too. A contemplative altarpiece, I would say, but I am only an external observer, sojourning for a while in your vestibule, your antichambre.

M W She went out from the darkness into the light, first steps of her being brave, overcoming temptation of escape, some tough decisions were taken up. But still shy, unsure with a feeling of loneliness and fear in her steps..

Srikaton Mindarwanto I am fascinated by your creative portraiture. Well done job!

Roberto De Mitri Jos... :) ... if this was a purgatory, served her sentence, the way to heaven would open triumphantly. but this antechamber is a limbo. a detached condition eternally immovable and immutable. a place where every hope is an illusion. a place where dreams wither and expire into oblivion. there is no risk of falling. but also vain is the hope to take flight ... not a nice place... :)

Jørgen Feldstedt She stands in the light - no face, surrounded by darkness. Where is she going, or is she waiting for someone? Perhaps she thinks she's invisible? Great image - excellent work Roberto!

Roberto De Mitri Maria... :) ... your reading of the picture is more positive and kind of mine. and it proposes a shy (using your word), but determined purpose of movement, of change. of attainment of a desired condition of light.
and thank you very much for the beautiful comment, Maria... :)

Roberto De Mitri well, José... :) ... in my personal reading of the image, I see this photo like a purgatory, or rather a Limbo. a representation of a soul condition of eternal stillness and eternal sad waiting. but I read the picture like everyone else. and everyone is free to see in the picture what they want. following their feelings and impressions. so any reading is welcome.
so thank you very much for your reading and for your nice comment! :)

Dana Winkelman Roberto. Before I comment on how it feels to me, I want to say that it is really a unique composition. The floor is sharp and the hallway behind her (photo right) but the subject is indistinct as well as where she is facing. I think all this really accentuates the feel which for me is uncertainty. Should she move forward or take a chance. Who knows? All the best. Dana...

Roberto De Mitri A Lenglet... :) ... existentialist is the right word... allegory of a life that perhaps can not find its rightful path ...
and thank you very much for the kind comment... :)

Roberto De Mitri Dana... :) ... thank you always for the lovely words and for the kindness that you reserve to me and my works ... :) ... as I wrote (and like you said well) there is uncertainty, suspension, hopes which seem to be confined within an eternal and disconsolate dimension of wait. and all this, perhaps, does not allow her to go on her way. maybe she is lost in a past of memories that do not allow her to go on ...
and, as always, thank you very much for the beautiful comment... :)
