Zur Abendstunde Mitte August vom Eggishorn aus aufgenommen zeigt dieses Panorama den Blick vom Mittelaletschgletscher (rechts) bis hin zum Matterhorn (links, im Dunst, das man hier 'von hinten' sieht, Zermatt liegt von hier aus hinter dem Matterhorn). Wir hatten das grosse Privileg, nach Betriebsschluss bleiben zu dürfen, der Berg lag in Ruhe vor uns während langsam die Nacht hereinbrach und wir uns für die Jagd nach den Perseiden vorbereiteten.
