Jos Letschert Mike, thanks a lot. It makes me a bit shy, you comparison with one of the most decisive paintings in modern art. Interesting information maybe is that this painting of Penelopes suitors will be used on the cover of a study by a professor of Brandeis University in New York. It is a study called: Odysseus, the many layered mind', Cornell university Press (published appr. November 2020).

Jos Letschert Thanks Jared, yes two sides of the story: Odyssee returned - after a delay - to Ithaca, and the guys he finds there, annoying his wife, are angry, fearful, suspicious and upset. I have tried to draw and paint the diversity of feelings in the faces from them who knows that the luxury life is over soon.
