Jos Letschert avatar
Jos Letschert Henri, unlike you I am very enthousiastic about that 'windy' element that Beate created in this photo. It is exactly what I meant with this sculpture of an ancient Greek god who is in charge of the management of wind. A balanced use of the possibilities of a variety of visual elements is an important part of work for painters, sculptors, photographers and other artists. Thanks for your feedback.

George Oncioiu avatar
George Oncioiu I agree with Henri, the picture of the work,in this case, is a secondary element that has to accurately and objectively record the work itself ... Picasso has long sought to find Brasai, a brilliant photographer who has photographed his sculptures with great accuracy.
11 April 2019 at 05:16pm
Jos Letschert avatar
Jos Letschert George, I didn't want to show here an accurate portrait of this sculpture -and by the way: they are available. It is my intention to present the volatility of the character and I do believe in that approach. Your comparison with Brassaï is questionable, I think. It depends on what you want to present: interpretation or representation.

16 April 2019 at 05:13pm
