Goldfingers

In my project: 'Painting within a painting', the model is the centre. First, I paint an abstract background. Prior to the shooting, I paint the model using the favourite colours that are also used in the background.
I place the model in front of the background. I make use of various objects, such as glass, fabric, etc. These objects are the finishing touch in the artwork. The image is formed in this intimate relationship between the model and myself.

The choice of fabric and light gives a painterly effect to the image, so it becomes a kind of surrealistic world. I do encourage the models to move and alter their poses during the shoot. But, I insist in natural moves and poses to keep pure and vulnerable expressions.

Why did the model choose these colors? Her words: "My life is worth gold and I do not see myself as less than the rest of the people . Black stands for the moments when you forget this. That's okay , because it keeps your life in balance. Too much gold is again selfish."
