This piece is a reminder to the madness of man, to the barbarity of his genius.

This piece remembers the atomic bomb dropped to Hiroshima on the 6th August 1945, extinguishing 166,000 voices from earth, time but never history.

A potent abstract interpretation of the a bomb dropped onto the people of Hiroshima and the conscience of the world.

This piece serves to represent that moment and to intersect and carry messages as to its folly and its bleak fingerprint upon humanity.

Most visibly represented by the mushroom cloud to the right of the shot, rising ominously like the coming vice of death, shearing straight through the innocence of peace and the fragility of life. Laying waste to mass expressions of optimism and speaking a death curse to the race that spawned it.

Immediately behind it stands a bright light that merges to black, this symbolises the light of humanity being consumed by darkness. Followed by pools of blood, engaged and alive as if to give life to the death that consumes them and all around swallowed by the great pantheon of darkness. And shooting through the scene as if wanting to be entirety, like an arrow, is yellow. Yellow is the colour of peace, of resurgence, the colour of the sun from where the nuclear power to lay waste to Hiroshima emerged. So by adding this accent to the piece, it speaks of how immense power need not be an ally to mayhem. And in doing so, lends hope to a world and its future.
