One of the best views of Venice you can find from Ponte dell'Accademia. Only taking photos from there is a bit tricky. The wooden bridge is the only way to cross the Canal Grande in this part of the city. So there are lots of pedestrians all the time and the bridge is consequently shaking a lot.

Moritz Braun You're absolutely right to ask that Volker. First, I always appreciate your compliments as well as your criticism. There's no need to delete your message. It's a honest comment and I would like to answer it in public. ;-)
In my opinion it involves quit some creativity to shoot a well known place in a way that hasn't been done before. Indeed , a lot of photographers went there before me and shoot from this point of the bridge or a slightly different one. But trying to do it different at the same spot is a tough challenge.

In my case I went to the same spot several times during the week I spend in Venice. I have tried a lot of different angles, daytimes, light situations as well as details included.
In the end I liked this one the most. Well, it's also not new to include a passing boat, but getting one that fits perfectly in the frame is hard than one might believe. Especially, since hundreds of boats pass this point every hour.

Thank you for your comment! =)
