Michael Vincent Manalo
I try to convey the society as to how they are if they could be freed from all the laws that binds them. To show the world what they think and shout what they want and not get prosecuted. To make them dream and not get laughed at. To be free and not to be scoffed at.

Svend Videbaek, General artist
Svend Videbaek Nice play with perspective and a good interpretation of the surrealist tradition. Good merging of the luminosities and colour worlds of the base photographs. Some photographers have taken this approach further in order to preserve photorealism with planning. For example, in a set-up like this, one could make the "hill and tree" photograph before-hand explicitly in size and shape in order to place over the window of the ruined room, creating the trompe l'oeil effect in reality in the room -- and then photograph that with careful lighting in order to maximize the effect. This could be done in various ways. Here, you have both the foreground room and "hill and tree" merged photo in sharp focus, detracting from the photorealist effect. If the "hill and tree" component were sharp and the foreground room out-of-focus, the eye would read photorealism even more strongly.
