That night I was very upset. It was -23C outside and there was no film to use! I didn't want to go to the shop, to buy a film, because it is in the opposite side in town! So I toom my digital camera with fisheye lenses.
It was really cold even in worm snowboarding clothes and in worm Columbia boots. I was looking for a good sight of view and made many snow traps. even then when my fingers were not working, and I was tored of walking there, I think i made my photo but not so good as I could! Maybe 3 steps backwards or what? I dont know! But look: IT IS ST. PETERSBURG WINTER NIGHT UNDER THE BRIDGE

Richard Beebe Wow! I like this, Anton!

We can always second-guess our efforts whether something could have been done differently, done better. In that case, you'll come back on some other cold winter night, maybe with more clothes layers, maybe with hot coffee to warm you from within, and shoot it again and again.

As for this first effort there under the bridge in St. Petersburg...
I think you earned a HIGH FIVE for your working camera, your footsteps, your framing of this bridge across a frozen river, and your b&w editing after you got home and warmed up again. I like the range of light, from bright highlights down to white snow, down to dark shadow blacks.

High Five, from America!
