Wild Clematis.

Quite often I feel like doing something different in my photography, a relaxing walk with just one camera and one lens. With the significant rise in the popularity of mirrorless cameras as resulted in the rise in the use of what have is being called "legacy glass", or more simply put old lenses that were used on film cameras. I too use Sony and Fuji mirrorless cameras however my long love affair with my Nikon D200 my first real digital camera still goes on and I do love the images that old 10-megapixel cameras CCD sensor still produces. On this occasion I decided to take a walk around my local church yard armed with only my Sony NEX 6 camera fitted with my old 1972 Helios 44-2 lens. The bokeh this lens is capable of producing has become almost legendary, however it needs to noted that the lens does not "do its thing" on its own it takes some proficiency from the photographer. Its always refreshing in our art to try new things and I can highly recommend using old lenses.
