This image was created during two months of COVID19 confinement in France. Although certainly inspired by the situation it is not meant to show the "isolation". Each eye in these windows was painted from a photo of the eye of a real person who I know. There are the eyes of family, friends, acquaintances with whom I stayed connected either by sharing the same home or by sharing good wishes and thoughts sent through long distances. There is also a certain awkward moment present in this image when one realizes that not all eyes watching are human. A cat, a dog, a rabbit, a bear... But also a whale, a dragonfly, a manta ray, a skate fish, a shark, a crocodile, a squid, a snail, a mantis, a spider. And by a personal request of the young family members - the eye of Mordor watching from afar. Because, as my mother always said: "the man lived because he could laugh".
