This is the gramophone of my grandfathers and grandmothers; the ballerina's figure has always stood on a shelf in the sideboard. I do not know when my parents bought this ballerina. Perhaps it was before my birth. Parents died long ago. And things survived people. This is probably not fair. But this is how the world works. Art works are studio compositions, not digital collages and no photoshop manipulation. All that is in the picture was present in front of the lens at the time of shooting.
