Red and Blue, photography by Jose Goncalves. A project, now interrupted (maybe forever) since SX-70 are no longer available, Whit the trams in my hometown Lisboa.
Technic used :
After the film cames out, i waited until the first lines of the photo start to appear. Then with a tool with two size smooth steel balls at the ends, in a hard surface, i apply some soft pressure to smudge the contours of the object, usually with the bigger steel ball, made the white lines with the smaller ball, and continue to work, again with the bigger ball again and soft pressure to distort the rest, until i get the result want.
I spend some time around this kind of work, like 10 minutes, more than that,it just depends. Most of the time, since the emulsion was soft and you are able to work in him,I kept dragging this part there and the other there, doing very small adjustments, there is no undo. There are no edition with Photoshop, apart the scanning and adjusting colour and contrast, this was made to the film after ejection from the Polaroid SX-70 camera.. SX-70. SX-70 Manipulation. In People, Everyday, City life
