Jared Christopher Martin
Jared Christopher Martin I love this for its freedom - freedom of style, brushwork, design, concept and even philosophy. I see a wall and beyond the wall a sky that bends away into eternity - simple, elegant, profound - we are surrounded by walls every moment of our lives, some tower above us, some are picket fence variety - beyond the wall is the sky. The process of life may be compared to surmounting the wall and joining the sky. This painting speaks to me in this way. Reminds me of chance, destiny, movement and possibility. As I look back on what I've written I see once again that words cannot describe some things - this is why we have art? No? Like this painting!
