Azay-Le-Rideau 09, Artwork by Karel De Beer. The Castle of Azay-le-Rideau is a very lovely and splendid 16th century renaissance monument (with Italian influences such as the impressive central well of staircase,) south-west of Tours, near the Indre (a tributary of the river Loire). Both the architecture and its situation in a park along a pond give Azay-le-Rideau a very romantic image. Here you see a remarkable secondary staircase that conducted to the exit-door (interior, no tripod, out off hand from down to top, available light.)
