Bernd Walz well used misty conditionsMay 3, 2011 at 09:12pm Marianne Charlotte Mylonas-svikovsky Striking image!!! I just got a message last night from family from the Glden Gate Bridge! Do you know that there are constantly two painters on the bridge repainting with .... acrylic paint! Hope you saw it again without fog!Aug 11, 2011 at 11:00am Jared Christopher Martin elegant, precise yet cloaked in mystery. a new way of looking at this well thumbed subject.Aug 19, 2011 at 08:19pm Jr Tanné SUPERBE !!!!!!Aug 23, 2011 at 04:55pm Fabienne Bardy Vraiment très belle photo, j'adore !!!!!!Aug 29, 2011 at 10:06am Eleanor K Beautiful and evocativeOct 30, 2011 at 12:51am Volker Birke Dear Loïc, Much appreciated.Nov 13, 2011 at 12:59am Volker Birke I'm very grateful to you, dear old friend Angelo. :)))Nov 13, 2011 at 01:01am Volker Birke Rino, your comment is very encouraging, I'm delighted.Nov 13, 2011 at 01:01am Volker Birke Dear Fabienne, it is a great honor to get such a comment from you. I tried to capture this world icon in, say, another way which is nearly impossible because there are millions of brilliant and so versatile shots of it out there already... If it is a new way of looking here - maybe regarding only a nuance - and I do know you are absolutely able to judge, I feel much honored.Nov 13, 2011 at 01:11am Volker Birke Dear Marianne Charlotte,
I do know you are able to judge as well - it is very encouraging to learn about your opinion, very encouraging, thanks a lot.
Volker
p.s. have seen it several times meanwhile, "enwrapped" by fog is the best scenery a photographer may encounter, I've to admit meanwhile... ;) :))Nov 13, 2011 at 01:14am Volker Birke Your comment is much appreciated, Paul Ryan.Nov 13, 2011 at 01:16am Volker Birke great to know your opinion, Egon, which encourages me to return and try to capture it even better. :))Nov 13, 2011 at 01:18am Volker Birke great, thanks so much, for stopping by and posting this very encouraging comment, Josh!Nov 13, 2011 at 01:19am Volker Birke Dankeschön, Amalia. My wife and I get over to San Francisco rarely. Actually, we find ourselves in "part" of The City several times a year: our youngest son is attending a federal training program called "Job Corps" (for construction/carpentry) and is living on Treasure Island, which is the flat island next to the little mountain one with the tunnel that the Bay Bridge goes through between SF and Oakland. It's a quiet piece of The City, with the heart across the waters to the west (see my "Bliss Dance" image)
