I really like the shot, perhaps it's because I'm a huge fan of anything in square format. It definitely works amazing with this photograph. The ominous feeling it gives, perhaps before a big thunderstorm. That "calm before the storm" feeling is there without a doubt.
The tonal range and contrast between them are unreal. The way the hills hug and wrap the three walls of the photograph framing it make it all that better. Even though the image is nearly cut in half it still works so incredibly well.
The sky is the only thing that concerns me. Some of the clouds are extremely white (especially that one area) and do not seem to compliment the fields, but after envisioning them any other shade darker, I don't think it would work quite the same way.

Par ailleurs, les nuages moutonneux blancs dans le ciel me paraissent en dehors de la réalité, simple impression...
