Ghost Limited ...so belated "happy birthday"!..nice to keep fragments of sky on special days..Jul 30, 2007 at 08:32am Evans Adrian I'm a huge fan of Polaroids and have been using them nearly exclusively for nearly the past half year. It's rare to see a Polaroid that I dislike.
But I need to ask you, what is so 'Fascinating' about these skies in particular? Would the photograph be any better if it weren't taken in Polaroid format? Is it simply another shot of a beautiful day in Australia? Is it only because it is encompassed within a Polaroid format frame that it is acceptable and 'artistic'? Are these skies fascinating because you have never seen clouds before? I can pick a thousand pictures on this website with clouds in them (partied with another subject) and I rarely see people say that the skies itself are fascinating.
I guess what I'm trying to get at, is this fascinating because of the medium, or because of the subject? What makes this so different than the thousands of other sky pictures me, you or anyone can take? Does this photograph capture something of importance or is it just sentimental and meaningful to the artist because of the memories it brings on?Oct 18, 2007 at 09:17am Pierre Ricci Beautiful colours and a lot of peaceful dreams...Apr 4, 2008 at 04:28pm Follow the discussion |
