Black, red & brown, photography by Mark Sadlier. These tubes of oil paint belonged to my partners grandfather so conceivably they may be older than me. He painted landscapes I'm told & the colours seem right for that; the tubes are made of a wonderfully soft aluminium & the paint is still soft after all these years.. Jared Christopher Martin lovely presentation of these oh so useful tools of a cousinly discipline. I love the little squibs of paint that dribble into the sky like wisps of smoke in a child's drawing, the unerring selective focus works so well here. I agree with Joan Kocak who said this can show large on a wall.
