the pastors chair, photography by Sven Fennema. This belongs to my series about an old mansion with a very sad story. It's abandoned since over 40 years!

This place has a deep story and big tragedy -
A catholic wife lost her husband at young age. The widow was in mourning and fell in love with her local pastor and got pregnant.
This never must not happened, she was in shame, the child was not wanted and she drowned it in a pool.
The women got arrested on grounds of capital murder and thrown in jail somewhere in the 60s.
Since the end of the 60s the house got abandoned and falled in a deep sleep since over 40 years! Unbelievable that since such a long time the place is still nearly untouched:
The furnitures, decorations, pictures, everything is still in place, it was an amazing experience to feel and catch this deep mood and the tragedy coming from this place. We will never forget about this unique day!

Out of my new photo book "Anderswelten - Ästhetik des Untergangs" -
224 pages full of amazing pictures, available worldwide in my online shop:
