Sarto superb portraitSep 17, 2009 at 10:30am Jordi Esteban Velvia is absolutely wonderful. Excellent work!!!Sep 17, 2009 at 10:58am Joel Silly Very beauteful portraitSep 17, 2009 at 04:13pm C L ImpressionnantSep 17, 2009 at 07:07pm Svend Videbaek Looks like a very standard studio lighting set-up and it works well, understated, sombre. Nice focus on the face, receding to blur at back of head. What to do with the hands -- always a key problem in a portrait, all the standard solutions iterated out ages ago. To achieve the very nice slightly-looking-upwards angle of his face, you've had to scrunch his body down on the chair a little, looks a little awkward. And given that he's holding the feather up for inspection, so to speak, the eye expects the feather to be in focus and it isn't. A minor flaw, if flaw it is. Rgds, SvendSep 18, 2009 at 08:40am Sabina D. so cool this portrait. the feather is a bit too white for me, or maybe you wanted it that way. in this case, it could be like a daring cut in the middle of the picture, a poignant interventionSep 18, 2009 at 09:22pm Szymon Warda Definetly it looks better here then on the blog.Sep 19, 2009 at 02:57am Frans Peter Verheyen Featured on THIAPS (Film is not dead it just smells funny) website
