It will be my 5th total solar eclipse and it is the eclipse with longest duration in the whole 21st century. Solar eclipses recur in a 18 years and 10 to 11 days cycle, the socalled Saros cycle. I also observed the eclipse 18 years and 11 days before on July, 11th 1991 (also the longest total solar eclipse of the 20th century) in Baja California (Mexico) under a cloudless sky so I am full of tention for the event next week. To all my friends here on ART a warm "good bye", hope to see you and your great art work again in a few weeks.
This shot here was made on 2006, March 29th in Turkey, where I also saw the really dark side of the moon. Wonderful news Uwe, I wish I could be there just for 10 seconds, I miss that unique feeling a lot, I keep my fingers crossed for you to have a clear sky during the eclipse , and hope everything works as you planed!
